We print with a line of 100% solvent-free, water-based inks from called Permaset Aqua.  While the parent company, Colormark, has been the market leader in Australia for over 40 years, Permaset Aqua has been a recent revelation in the industry, and really the driving force behind our complete adoption of a fully water-based printing system.

For many years printers in our industry (ourselves included) have searched for alternatives to PVC based plastisol inks.  There were water-based alternatives, but nothing we could find that would perform.  With most water-based inks that were available, color ‘opacity’ was severly lacking.  That’s why we were so excited to come across Permaset Aqua.

We use Permaset Aqua because:

• It is 100% solvent and distillate free
• It is free of heavy metals
• Softness and strength of print
